Revive offset
Hi, we used Revive offset 120gsm as our house offset paper - no problems except the usual with offsets. We print 4/4 colour using a waterless Presstek 34DI press with IR dryer.
Recently we've had 3 jobs all on revive offset - 120, 140 and 250gsm and found that our inks wouldn't dry. One job on 120gsm we printed 1st side on a Friday. Back to it on Monday and we found that the whole lot had set off. Thinking it was us, we re-printed and the whole lot set off again all the way through the pile up to the top 5 sheets. Eventually we gave up and printed on another 120gsm offset 100% recycled and our inks dried just as we would have expected. The sheets of revive were still ink tacky (not rub off) 7 days later!
I know that Revive offset has moved its production to a new mill - has anyone else been getting these problems?

hi there,
ive always had issues with revive uncoated, set off and not drying but we used a fast setting ink and i always assumed it was incompatability betwen the two, all i could do was reduce ink weights, not the best soloution but it got us through.

Hi Paul
Thanks for the comments, but Revive offset wasn't a problem before and now is. All the other offsets we use with the same inks are behaving as expected, just not this one!
Cheers John

are you using any assisted drying? also, have you tried any additives to aid drying?
