    Default fountain solution disposal

Can unused fountain solution from the jug be flushed down the drain with water or is it best to send it to an environmental service to dispose of it?

this will vary from community to community. Best option is to call your local DEQ/Sewage company and ask.

    Default Foutain Solution Disposal

Quite simply pouring spent or fresh fountain solution down the drain is not good for the environment. Being responsible to the environment would dictate that it be handled in the appropriate manner. Remember anything that you pour in the drain ends up in our source for drinking water and you are relying on the local waste treatment facility to be able to remove it before dispensing it to our nations rivers, lakes and oceans. The fact that it typically has a low pH, contains glycols and solvents along with ink (spent only) would generally be frowned upon by virtually every POTW (public owned treatment works) or the local State Department of Environmental Protection in the country. Requirements do vary from city to city and calling your local sewer authority will provide you some guidance.

    Default Fount Solution

All founts has different componets. My suggestion is that you talk to the manufacturer directly. They are the most cualified to solve this.
