    Cool UV adhesion issue

We have printed 2 jobs in the last week on clear glossy Vinyl. When we cure the black after the first unit, as soon as it hits the next blanket the solid film of ink peels off the substrate, trashes the blanket and plate. We have tried different inks, fountain solutions. No success. Are we missing something? What can we try?
    Thank you.

Sounds like you need to check the dyne level of your vinyl, you're not getting the adhesion you need. A level of minimum 38 to mid 40's would suffice.

Some folks have tried using a Prima-Coat to aid in the adhesion of inks on plastic non absorbent substrates. Print the prima coat down prior to putting the ink down to give the ink something to grab onto. The trick is getting a good prima coat that doesnt act like the ink. Also make sure you are using High Adhesion inks formulated for plastic. As Rhino says make sure your Dyne level is good.

Can you recommend a Prima-coat? We did try the one we had in the shop and that did not work. When we put the ink on top, it did not pass the tape test.

What inks and chemistry are you currently running? I have luck with Toyo and Toka. Pretty solid plastick ink's.
