    Yes it is UV. I have not seen any special effect AQ coatings just the usual selection of gloss, matte, satin and some pearl

    Another printer is telling their customer that they have it in line on a conventional offset press. Hmmm...

    Maybe there is a 'Textured' coating that isn't UV. Here is a selection of coating/varnish products

    There is a velvet looking aqua coating that goes on in line - I've seen it but we don't have an inline coater so haven't investigated it . . . .

    Our company does textured varnishes, UV screen. Depending on the effect the customer wants we usually apply with a rotary screen 20 micron. There are different additives that you can to get the different effects.

    Have a look at Actega, they do a range of products, mostly Aqeous.
    I have been trying it UV, keyline of the inks is an issue.
