can you help - flexo versus litho

Hi can anyone out there. I am currently undertaking evaluation into different printing processes. I am looking at a batch of printed packaging, some of it is litho and some of it is flexo on both plastic film substrates as well as paper/board substrates. Are there any obvious guidelines to distinguishing through a mag glass which is flexo and which is litho? My understanding is that litho will produce a rosette configuration whereas flexo will produce a dot configuration, is this correct and are there any other tell tale signs.
