    Default Prinergy evo

    Hey

I need help as I just started working for a printing company and my experience is very limited.

We are using Prinergy Evo at the moment to refine colours for each job.

As for a full colour job, i would use refine CMYK or refine CMYK_TRAP

but when do i know when to use refine Spot?

As i recently messed up on a job.

My boss knows his stuff but they can't teach so i'm finding it hard to learn..

please help me if anyway if you can

    Thanks

Find the manuals - read them.
See if Kodak has online courses - take them.
Create your own single page test file or adapt from a customer file and practice refining it with different options selected until you understand what they do. Do this during your lunch break.
Check how your company documents job instructions (e.g. job dockets) as the job moves through the process to make sure that information is clearly communicated. If not - have the docket design changed.

    best, gordon p

Also, everything in Prinergy has a little question mark next to it. Click it to read more info about whatever you are doing. When I was running Prinergy Connect 5 in my old job, it had really good help files embedded in the program. I would bet Evo does as well.
