flat identifier text-changing $side

Is it possible to change the way Preps identifies the press sheet side. By default it uses A=front, B=back, C=front etc...

We'd like to be able to change it to something like Sheet 1 A=front AA=back, Sheet 2 B=front BB=back.

We're using version 5.2.x

Any help would be greatly appreciated...even a confirmation that this isn't possible, which seems to be the case.
