Position available: Plant Manager & Production Planner

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervise 20-30 employees.

Organize, schedule and control production for all aspects of our operation – including pre-press prep, pressroom, digital department, bindery, mailing, fulfillment and wide format

Provide guidance and act as decision maker in regards to quality issues, production priorities, and overtime requirements

Ensures that product quality, production efficiencies, and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards

Monitor and evaluate employee performance and issue disciplinary action as appropriate

Prepare production reports and other reporting systems

Utilizes knowledge and experience, providing training to team members

Desired Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 3 – 5 years of supervisory experience in a commercial printing environment.

Excellent organization skills

Proficient computer skills able to learn new software

Knowledge and understanding of Print MIS systems

Knowledge and understanding of digital and offset pre-press workflow solutions

Understand concepts behind VDP print production and mailing

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

Effective communication skills with ability to work with all levels of the organization
