Default Has my blog been blocked in China?

I few days ago I added Google translation to my blog here:

    Quality In Print

I've just been told that, apparently, this may have caused my blog to be blocked in China.
Can anyone confirm that my blog is blocked by trying to access the blog. Is it the english site that's blocked or the Chinese translation site?
If it is blocked, please let me know by email at: pritchardgordon (@) gmail (dot) com
I would appreciate a screen capture that shows what you see when you try to access the blog.

    thank you for your help.

    gordon p

Can't comment on the accuracy, but you can check yourself here:
Website Test behind the Great Firewall of China

Initial results are favorable for Gordo in Hong Kong, but others in China could be Gordo-less

Thanks and thanks for the link. I hadn't heard about this before. At first I thought that maybe the google machine translation had corrupted the meaning of the blog so as to make access to it a potential threat to the national security of China. However, now I've now tried a few other blog addresses and it seems that what is being blocked is the blogger community (e.g. www.blogger.com is also blocked). It appears to be a classic case of "throwing the baby out with the bathwater."

At least it wasn't personal. :-(

    best, gordo

You may laugh, but I've just gotten an email saying that might actually be happening! Apparently there are ways around (actually over) the GFW.
Because I depend on the conscience and generosity of the wonderful folks who may benefit from the blog I don't think they can sell it cheaper - but I may be wrong :-)

Not laughing at you Gordo!! Just a sideways shot at chinese "engineering" Have seen examples of American and European vehicles being reverse engineered with little or no changing to the original design, and a rather loose claim that "international patents do not apply to chinese companies in china" I even remember a chinese car and its (GM i think) equivalent being dis-assembled and rebuilt into two perfectly functional franken-cars... (but its NOT a copy!!)

With regards to your blog...i have grown up in the printing trade and remember watching my grandfather running hand fed platens and the like (powered by an external community engine no less!) and having progressed from old platens and GTOs thru to an automated 40" feel that i have a fair amount of experience and general knowledge....but i truly enjoy reading your blog and the insight and knowledge that it provides...They say you learn something every day, and reading your blog is a testament to that!!

And another point...the chinese could really learn and benefit from your site...blanket bans only benefit those with something to hide...
Just get on with it. Its as simple as that.
