Default What do you want to know?

    Hi all,

I'm a student from the Netherlands and currently I'm doing a research on the printing industry. I'm an industrial design student with, untill 2 months ago, no knowledge on this field. I'm finally starting to get the feeling that I have an understanding on this business; when I talk to a printer I can actually understand what he or she is saying.

Currently I'm looking into how knowledge is shared in this market, between printers, on graphic design, basically on every little bit that might be of interest and value in the print industry. And now I have a question I would like to put to discussion...

What do you want to know?

Let's say all magazines, websites, forums, etc, within this industry would be gone, and we would start with a clean plate. What information would you like to have delivered to you at this moment in time. What information would help you in your daily life in the printing industry, what do you want know? And who do you want to hear it from? Or who do you want to talk to?

I'm very curious about your opinion. Thanks in advanced for your reply!

I'd like to know how to improve my work, what should i add to my printshop for better and bigger share of the market, " how to ?" is important, how to upgrade my windmill to do hotfoil stamping, how to use speciality inks for certain jobs, security inks, scented inks, printing on metallized foil paper.

all sort of stuff that gives u a step ahead of most of others

The best source of getting online information is discussion in topic related forums. There are a lot of other ways to get information online which include articles, blogs, websites but through my personal experience forums discussions contain more accurate info than other sources.
