    Default Hourly rates for presses

We have some differing of opinion going around the shop I'm at as to how things should be estimated. If you don't mind please post how you price out your press rates and what size type press it is.

    Matthew,

Hourly rates for a press are based on your cost of doing business and cost recovery. How you price it out is based on the market you are in, your customers, your product offerings, and the profit margin you want or can get. I'm giving a full day workshop on preparing budgeted hourly rates and pricing for the Printing Industry of Minnesota on May 5 2011 if you want to really learn about this topic. PIM - Classes
