Default Making the transition to MIS or estimating software

We are a small shop and have been using mostly an old school workflow. Manual quoting, paper work orders, etc.. You can imagine how difficult it is to track orders, and quote in a timely manner.

We are now looking into MIS or quoting software. I would love to hear thoughts or stories about your transition. Any advice would be great too.

Check out Morning Flight, you will NOT find a better price than this. I have (had) been a beta tester almost from the time it was available to beta. I can tell you that it has developed into one of the most impressive piece of software we have. Anyone can do an estimate with it, it's almost fool proof!

I'll second that opinion as I am a Morning Flight user as well. I've tried a couple other MIS systems and looked at a lot but I simply could not afford any of them.

I looked into Morning Flight somewhat, but will look into it more after reading the positive feedback in other threads. Is there support yet for Quickbooks? That seems to be one of the main factors.

Has anyone heard of or used SmartQuotes? I can't find anything about their product on the web other than what is on their website.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

As the Australian distributor for ACCURA, I would also offer this link for consideration:

Accura Overview - Print Estimating - Order Processing - Job Costing - Stock Control - CRM - The Print MIS System of Choice

    Best,
