No, but - like Stephen Marsh suggested - I have heard of some other system.

And, just like Stephen - do not want to derail this thread.

I supposed a big question is - do you want to have your estimates be 'convertible' into live production jobs with a few clicks, and will the storefront 'inject' a job into production.

CRC does have shop floor inventory data collection - we don't. That might be more important to you / your team.

One rep for another MIS system that we reviewed indicated that CRC has a bunch of lawsuits. I was checking around to see if any existing or former CRC users that can comment on the CRC MIS system.

    IT Guy,

My firm selected CRC last year after evalutating many of the 100+ Print MIS systems currently available. Our facility is a 40 person, commercial offset with a lot of mailing operations.

We selected CRC because it's cost, feature set, interface, and web-based CRM system most closely matched our needs. They sell a 25-seat "Core" system that has everything we needed, without having to purchase any additional modules.

All of the other systems we had selected as finalists had their own strengths and were very solid packages, but were more expensive than CRC when similarly configured, and we could not make a cost justification relative to the features we needed.

We are 90% complete with our implementation which began in December 2011 (about 2 months), and are using many of the modules in daily production. Essentially, we are "live", except that we have not yet cut over the accounting system.

I have found the CRC system (software), to be exactly what CRC represented it to be in pre-sales, no more or less. It works great for our purposes, and we have not had any unresolved problems. I have also found the CRC organization to be responsive and professional. They log and monitor all their communications (technical, service, other) with customers, and upper-management is very approachable.

Just like you experienced.. some of the other MIS competitors tried to warn us off about the CRC program and company history, the lawsuit issue was mentioned a few times. I did my own research, and also discussed this topic with a few of the references CRC provided to me. If you are seriously evaluating CRC, I would encourage you to evaluate that situation on your own too, but will mention that what I discovered was an ownership change a number of years ago to a new parent company (Reynolds and Reynolds owns CRC now), appears to have addressed the issue.

So, you asked for experiences, you now have mine. So far into our use of the program, we are all very satisfied with the value and function of CRC. Feel free to email me if you have other questions.

    Sincerely,
    Dean
