Default Home made perfect binding - glue and pressure?

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to make a few home made book binding projects using something like this method.
YouTube - Basic DIY Book Binding Demonstration

This guy only has one page per signature but I was wondering if it's all the same for multiple pages signatures.

If so, since only the outer section of the signature is glued to the cover, how come one could not simply pull off the center pages since nothing is glued there really? Would only pressure renders that impossible??

I saw other techniques which stapled the signatures at their center before gluing everything.
But I guess that's not how they do it normally.

    Thanks!!

Generally, the binding edge is sanded off .125". This makes the glue contact all of the pages in the signature.
There are other types of PB but this is the simplest.
