Gergek Programer Problems

We are running an old Compeador 28A cutter with a Gergek mc Jr. programer.

We are are having 2 issues which may or not be related

1. On start-up it keeps finding home -5.67 inches or past the 20 inch point which seems to be its limit for the back guage.

2. it keeps a constant led in the first digit display that will not allow you to key in the 4, 8, or clear buttons.

any insight or maybe a source for manuals?
