use food coloring to change glue color?

has anyone colored their glue used in perfect binding?
might've been the glue getting me a little bit high, but thought colored glue would look nice on pads where the glue shows.

Yep, but only with a Cold Glue application. I did about 250,000 notepads a few years ago with a pink colored glue. One thing I do remember is it took quite a bit of experimenting to get the color ok'd by the Client.

We run a pretty large pad job every year. Customer insists on color... we found latex paint works good too.. yes its a cold application.
