Hi Rob, I'm also in Va., and yes, I have had similar problems. I'm a textile screenprinter.
I have a ScreenWriter 4 and just upgraded my computer (HP 64-bit/Quadcore Processor/Windows 7). I downloaded their 64-bit driver, but get an error everytime I try to print. While awaiting a return call/email from tech support (never heard back until last night), I did a little research to find that I'm not the only one with this issue and talked to 2 other people that eventually sold their Xante's because tech support offered no solutions. This is my 2nd Xante (had an 8300 for 11 years) and I use to hold them in high regard. I did get an email yesterday evening from tech support stating that I needed to pay a small fee, but I think they're being dishonest about their disposable machines.
I'm currently looking around for another brand to replace this Xante.
