    Default Dynastrip renumbering pages

    Hi,
Turns out whenever we open a impo in 5.3.1 from 5.2 Dynastrip renumbers the pages without us asking it to. We manually number them. This is frustrating.
Also when using the latest Acrobat 9 Pro and the latest Pitstop to make a small change in the pdf (like deleting text) when we save the file again in acrobat and open it again in Dynastrip 5.3.1 it does not see the colours only lists COL.
Does anyone have these problems? Is there a work around?
    It's just frustrating.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    cheers

    Gumby,
Here are some answers to your questions. Also, there is a weekly Webinar on Dynastrip (and inpO2 too) that you can join in and ask questions. See the Dynagram Web site for days and times. Otherwise, feel free to email support@dynagram.com for more help.

    Here are some answers....

When a job is manually paginated, you must choose “None” or “Creep only” as a binding type in the “pagination sequence Definition” window. This way, DynaStrip will not try to fit the page numbers to its own algorithm and will leave your page numbers “as is”.

The “COI” is an error code meaning the the application filter cannot read the source file. In your case, I suspect that the object compression in your pdf is the cause. To fix this situation, lower the PDF version to 1.4 or use the PDFX-1a standard when creating the file. DynaStrip should then read the file with no problem.

    I hope this helps!
