Default Anyone Familiar with ECRM MAKO 36

    Couple quick questions about calibration...

Do you adjust setting for density on imagesetter or the rip computer?

Also it seems that when calibrating film it seems to appear that film is outputting uncalibrated film. Is there a setting on either imagesetter or the RIP that you can adjust whether the film outputs to calibrated or uncalibrated?

I am close but seeing my density reading is about 6.76 I heard it should be around 5 is this true?

    Any help would be appreciated...

    Thanks,

What type of film do you use ? If it's normal rapid access film, your target density would be 4.0 - 4.2 D. Yes, the laser exposure setting is set in each RIP PageSetup, just below the device resolution. Follow the RIP user manual with respect to film calibration. If you don't have the PDF manual you can download it, or PM me for more details.
The Mako setter series laser exposure range is 0 to maximum intensity 255.
