Default Film for making silk screens

We are currently using an Epson 10600 to output clear film for making screens.
Just wondering what others are using to make positives for screens?

We are using Xante for negatives, the machine does great for positive work, except for screens, good for line work only.

Not sure if you have heard of OYO, but they make a wide variety of equipment for screen, flexo, gravure and offset film output. The machines can output at either 600 or 1200 dpi (TechStyler at 600dpi and Liberator at 600 or 1200 dpi). Both machines are capable of producing either a positive or negative on output and do not require any chemistry or inks as they are thermal based. The machines are great for screened output and line work. They also include HDS Lite (stochastic screening) along with the standard Harlequin Precision Screening and Standard AM Screen Sets. You can find out more about the equipment at OYO Instruments | Welcome or you can request film samples and view the machine specs on our website Harlequin RIP, Harlequin RIPs, Software RIP, NEW! Harlequin Software RIP Version 8.3. Getting film samples is a good place to start as you can compare your current Epson film to the OYO film. Hope this information helps.
