    Default APPE and CPSI

CPSI - Changing Perceptions of Security and Interventions!!!!

I can’t imagine that a change of perception of security is needed when I am working with files, so it must mean something else.

    And what does APPE means?
Maybe old school or stupid question.

APPE is Adobe PDF Print Engine, Adobe's most recent RIP-technology. Not that fast and supposed to handle live transparencies in PDFs well.

CPSI is Configurable PostScript Interpreter, an older RIP-technology that is based on postscript. Cannot handle live transparency and must flatten it first. For the most part this one is old, stable, fast and one knows its shortcomings.
    Modern PrePress is CSI: PDF.
