Flexo plate suppliers do you trim the plates to length?

This is a general question? If you supply Flexo plates do you trim them to the exact length the customer needs on press or do you let the customer do the final trim? If you receive flexo plates do you have to do a final trim?

Just curious, we have a customer demanding that we trim the plates to an exact precise length for them, they reject them any time the length is off more than a 1/16th.

I have been in the flexo industry for 25+ years and I have never seen a plate come from a vendor trimmed to length.
