Flatbed Digital Printing: Any Underlay Material Suggestion lighter than MDF?

We are looking for an alternative solution as underlay on flatbed printing?
Based on your flatbed experience which material do you think is the best, in terms of vacuum holding and zones, lightness and weight, easy loading, taking off/on, and strongness?
