Default Foil Stamp for Scratch-Off Applications

Looking for some wisdom... foil stamping for 'scratch-off' applications. Seeking thoughts from any of you who have experience in this area, in terms of the process, the equipment as well as suppliers for the specialty foils required. Thanks in advance for any tips.

Scratch-Off can be applied with screen printing also. Might be less expensive since the ink is generally cheaper than scratch-off foil is. We can do it if you're interested, just send a message. Dan

    Default scratching

We use latex screenprinted over the litho printed piece.
Once we tried an ink that was meant to be scratched off - unfortunately the job failed because people were able to read the information under the scratch-off ink by using ultra violet lamps. The UK brewery whom paid for the job were not happy. A very expensive mistake.
    Regards minch.

What is the difference between scratch-off foil and putting scratch-off by screen printing ? Which quality is better and cheaper?
Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
