Color sep identifier Preps 5.3
I am trying to put color sep identifiers on my templates, I am using Sig$sig Side$side $color $date $time as my text identifier (I have also tried many others), but for color it prints "composite". I have tried adding the in-RIP color ID static marks like it says in the manual and that prints out composite also (in black only). Any suggestions???

We are using an earlier version of Preps here, but I asked our impo guy, and he says "bring it forward", referring to the overlapping/layering, I assume. May be different in your version. He now also mentions about "Plate Name" being on a pull-down menu, that is what he places, and checks on the "bring to front" box.

It sounds as though you are using Preps as a standalone application and not as part of a larger workflow, but doing InRIP separations Is that correct?

Thanks I ran a few tests, it labeled the pms plates correctly, but the cmyk only labeled the black plate. If I have to I can just put cmyk ID marks in the teplate. I'll continue to play with it.

Yes, that is how our system is set up.
