Default Treflow 3.4 trouble

Hi everybody,

e have installed TrueFlow 3 V4.01. When we try to reduce in the Ripfor recorder (for example: from 100% to 98%), after all process finished and sent job to recorder (a PT-R4100), appear at PTR screen "Image is larger that plate.." or shomething like that. Anybody know how I can done this problem?

Thanks!

Carlos

Hi Carlos,
The most likely reason for your trouble is that by default Trueflow's recorder output (PT-RXXXX) is setup to use "Auto" in the magazine setting for a platesetter. This means that is scans the magazine sizes registered in the recorder and prompts the user to load the plate size that matches the job size.

When you reduce the output size of the job, it no longer matches any plate size, therefore the plate mismatch error.

To resolve your issue, simply select the proper magazine (Printing Press Setup in the platesetter) from the drop down menu next to magazine in the Recorder icon. That icon is located directly after the RIPforRecorder icon.

If you do not see any magazines other than Auto, them you need to load these into Trueflow.
This is done in the Trueflow menu (under the Start menu on your Trueflow server) under Output device utilities. There is a tool called Magazine info setup). Double-click this. Your platesetter must be ONLINE. Under the "Tools" menu, select "Get info from output device" and then hit the floppy icon to save the information. If you restart the Trueflow client, you will see all of the magazines listed in the place I directed you to above.

Hope that helps

Hi Grag,

Before upgrade from V3 to V4, we make reduction without any problem, after this never we can again to do it.
We tried setting Auto or Select plate size (imported from Magazine utility in Output device Utilities), anyway, do not work now.
We decide to use source program to edit size.
