Quick Master 46 speed control problem
Hello
We have a Quickmaster 46 2 color that is having speed control problems.
The press will only speed up to certain speed, say 7000 an hour and after that you can still tell the machine to increase in speed on the concole, but the machine will remain at 7000.
It has been intermitent for a month. Yesterday the max speed ranged from 7000 to 4000iph.
The machine will also slow once it goes on impression.
Heidleberg has indicated that it could be the motor, the power supply or the transformer.
From what we can tell the power supply is made up of 3 boards.
I'm woondering if any one else has every had this problem and if so what was the final solution.
Thank you,
Sam

we had something like that happen to one of ours
eventually it gets worse and will only run slower and just shut down with an error code indicating something about the motor speed
since we have two of these machines I could cross check voltages and such and narrowed it down to the motor which we did manage to get repaired ...a new control board and a cracked magnet replaced
these motors are brushless DC, complex and the manufacturer has no interest in replacement parts
but a very skilled motor shop should be able to get it going for you
good luck
