is heidy qm 46-2 really worth the money?

selling my qm 46-2 and thinking that i might replace? i have quite a number of jobs that i do 1-2 color but should i look at another heidy or perhaps a ab dick? i know people talk about heidy quality, but come on its a 2 color press and doesnt have a real side lay for registration...any thoughts??

because i can triple my money on the unit, but another and still have money left over. the question is that is it really worth investing in another pm 46-2 or just look for a ab dick with a t head? is there any noticeable difference with a a loop or naked eye?

Never having had a Heidey, I'm probably not best placed to help, but I have owned a few AB Dicks with T heads and solids were our main problems. We used to outsource some jobs to a local college as they had a Heidelberg single colour which could knock spots off our AB Dicks for solids.

Ran one for a brief time, struck me as a little picky about the feed, but other than that was a real pleasure to operate. I would not replace one with a press with a T head the heidy can lay down some nice coverage, including 4 color process. At the time the only runner up was Ryobi, but I don't know why they went with the heidy. It was a good press.

3302 cant compare to the solid a QM46 does. Also the quick master does not have the nasty infeed roller marking the ryobis have. I ran AB Dicks for years and I would never go back from the quick master. The person who invented the Thead was a person who hated press operators and that is why they were built. If all you are running is small light coverage then you are okay. If you have to push the ink 10 points over density you will not get it from an AB Dick
