3304 Varn or Ryobi

I'm hoping somebody can advise on 3304H fitted with varn units and not the standard Ryobi system. Would this be better or worse than the original ryobi damping system and chiller.

I was told by press service tech and personally agree - Kompac is a****s kicking system.
I think they call 3404 with kompacs + good platemaker a "DI buster".
Popkin and Co. tech told me "Want to be fancy - get a DI, want to make money get 3304 with kompacs"
I have a ABD 360CD with Kompac - it chews any ink, any brand, any type. My AB Dick Century 3500S has somewhat Crestline-like system and it is a lot more sensitive.

Thanks UnlimitedBT for your post. I just don't want to go for the wrong damping system if purchased.
