    Default Alcohol free printeing

    For the past 6 months we have been printing without IPA. The results have been really good the only problem we now have is that the waters are getting really dirty and we now have to dump it at least twice a week. Are there any ideas as what type of filtration system suits best?
    Is it possible that our fount percentages are not what it should be. We use sustifix on all our presses, CD74 and Sm102 - 4% and XL105 - 3%. We have really good drying and a good water ink balance. Any ideas please guys.

    Also, research the spinclean or delta.clean product that Technotrans makes (they also have some smaller related designs depending on your solution requirements). They are a great cleaning system that stretches our fountain solution for 4 times what it would be otherwise.

    We have found that VARN's fountain pure filters work very well . . . we generally only have to clean our tanks every six months or so since we started using them . .. here's a link to some information on them

    Check out the Fount-N-Kleer products at Welcome! for a cleaner dampening system. For the ultimate level of dampening system performance you can't beat the FloClear products available from Prisco (Printers' Service).

    We have two flowclear units one on CD 102 and one on 73" Roland . Can be pricy but look at the Roi prisco can supply you with one . You will be pleasantly surprised how well it works .
