    Default Massive Font issues ?

Just took over prepress at my company, in a massive learning curve right now. Having a font problem when i open email. Turns text into glyphs. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Hi Greg

Your problem could be caused by two things. It could be a corrupt font cache. Use a utility to delete them and see if the problem goes away. One of my favorites for this is FontNuke Link: [http://www.jamapi.com/dl/FontNuke-1.14.dmg] although there are many others.

It could also be caused by a bug that relates to Helvetica Fractions. Try disabling this font and see if it helps.

    Good Luck

I'm assuming you're referring to mac Mail.
    What OS? 10.4 or 10.5?

Are you using some form of font management software (ie Suitcase or the like)?

see if your Helvetica is turned on. Launch Font book and see if it's in there and if not, you will need to get it and turn it on for Mac Mail to work.
