transfer files between net servers

i must download some large files from net (demo programs)
the distrubeter site is have very hight trafic i want to copy files from disturbeter company server to my web space or my ftp then download the program
anyone try like this operation ?

kind of depends on how they setup the download. If its like adobe where you download a downloader then the downloader downloads and installs the actual file. then you might have an issue. legally is another issue, but it should be fine to place a file on your local site for internal distro

I think what you are after, is FXP (site to site transfer).
Some FTP clients will allow it but I believe servers have to be enabled too, or at least one of them.
I never tried it but read about it while ago.
