    Default Barcode verification

Can anyone recommend a good macintosh barcode scanner and software to verify postnet barcodes generated for variable printing? Hopefully something under $500. Thanks.

Make sure in can verify the IM barcode as well, it will replace Postnet next year... unless it's delayed again.

This is not a cheap option and it does more than just a barcode scanner. This verifies the mail piece is completely valid. It is produced by the same company as the USPS Merlin.

I'll get a company Vette before they spend $5,400 on a scanner!
We don't do the level of mailing that warrants something like that.
Under $500 is probably all the budget will be.

    Default Cheaper Option

To read postnet and IM barcodes you need a 2D scanner, and you can pick one up for *much* less than the tool from BCC.

Here is one that is only $369 - Hand Held Products 4600g General Purpose Area Imager for Data Matrix, MaxiCode, PDF417 & POSTNET
