    Default File size explodes

Mac, OS 10.4, Fusion Pro postcard, working in with a supplied PDF in Acrobat 9 pro. 4.25 x 6 postcard. Just adding an address to a two sided card. Final file is 1.4 Mb, 8 up w&b, 750 pages. If I drop the PDF to the CREO and print from there, it flattens (takes about an hour) and grows to 170 Mb. Same if I use Acrobat to flatten file or save to postscript. Any way we do this, is taking 1.5 - 2 hours. Can someone tell me if there is any way to get around this? This isn't even a big job, will it get worse?

    Thanks

Default Acrobat version of export file

Have you tried changing the version of PDF when exporting from Fusion Pro? Change to Acrobat 3.0 Compatible in the Output Section. This has helped me in the past. It outputs a flattened PDF, vs. flattening a large file with Acrobat.

    Hope this helps.
