    Default Darwin/InDesign/Insite Storefront problem

    Having a bit of a problem, I built a business card template using Darwin 3.0 and InDesign CS3, packed it up in Darwin, and when I go to create a vdp template and try to upload the packed Darwin file in storefront, I get this error:

    Status: Import Failed
    Unknown WCS error in ConvertFromTemplatePackage WCS Convert: Failed to convert the template package file to a dvj file.

    I've looked through all the documentation we have, on both Kodak E-Central and the Creo website, and have also looked around this forum as well as a few others, and can't find anything about this error. Our 2 experienced prepress guys can't figure it out either (I'm somewhat of an apprentice, I have an extensive computer background and was brought in to handle Storefront but am learning all the software and aspects of the printing industry as I go). Has anyone ever encountered this before, and if so, what was causing it? Been working on trying to solve this for the past 2 and a half days now and I don't really know where else to turn short of calling Kodak, which I'd prefer not to do. If anyone has any kind of solution I would greatly appreciate it, and thank you in advance.

    Try simplifying the project. Remove all graphics and try the import.
    If that doesn't work, make all the fonts the same as another template you already have loaded.
    If it still doesn't work, just use one field on the layout.

    By eliminating possible problems you may find the one item causing the problem.

    Thanks for the input, I'll give all that a shot when I get in monday. In the meantime, does anyone have any other suggestions? Not that I don't appreciate your advice pcmodem, I'd just like to get as much advice as possible.

    I tried everything you suggested pcmodem, still no luck. It seems to be a fairly rare error, when I google it I can only find one forum post over at GUA about it and nothing else. Guess we're gonna call Kodak and see if they can resolve it. Once we get everything smoothed out I'll post back here with the details in case anyone else happens to run into the same problem.

    So we got it solved earlier this week, forgot to post back here. It ended up that we were getting the error because we were trying to upload through Safari on a Mac. If anyone runs into this, all you have to do is use Firefox instead of Safari. Could've kicked myself for not thinking of this solution sooner

    Kodak support also told me you can set Safari to run in 32-bit mode by going into the applications folder and command (or control, depending on your setup) click on Safari, clicking Get File Info (something along those lines, using a Windows machine now and can't check at the moment), and checking "Run in 32-bit mode". I've tested it out and confirmed that this also solves the problem, however I think I'll be using Firefox from now on either way, not a huge fan of Safari.
