Is a CLC4000 a worthy investment?

I am just getting into the printing arena and my budget is very limited. I have been offered a showroom Canon CLC4000 for $5K and wanted to get any feedback as to whether I'd be throwing my money away on that machine. I read that people have had trouble with it in the past, but in general, is it good enough for small jobs for business cards, postcards, and booklets?
