    Default roland xc-540 warranty

Our original warranty has expired on our printer. To renew warranty for two years is going to cost $1,995 for the basic warranty which cover parts, labor, and travel. We have had our
printer for 2 years. Should we renew our warranty? Does that price sound reasonable?
We are just wondering what other people have done with their printers. Your input would
    be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

It depend if you can pay the repair. Statistically, you should never buy a warranty. But if you can not afford a repair, like the almost 3000$ head, then take it. If you did not make any service call in the 2 years, then why pay for extra? It's a geest to take...

I can offer you some spare parts of Roland.
But it's better to call a professional repair service if you are not good at it.

If you have a reliable dealer, I'd invest in the warranty. For $1995, if you need one print head replaced and 2 service calls, it's paid for itself. Heads are about $995 these days not including dispatch fees, mileage and labor.

    Default I'd get the warranty

One of heads went bad during the original warranty, if we had paid out of our pocket, the bill would have been $1300. Needless to say, we got the extended warranty, it cost the same as a single head!
