Epson 9800 FireWire wont print

A little background before I start with the problem.

My 9800 was plugged in a PC the completely fried late last weak, we tried salvaging some parts but to no avail !

Now I got a bran new computer siting in front of it and I cant get the thing to print

I installed the print drivers the came with the machine ( original CD ) no print.
I installed the latest FireWire supporting drivers from epson, No print.
Changed the wire, tried all the connections on the PC, 2 expansion cards, still no print !
I even tried talking nice to it and all ...

weird thing is if I open the Epson monitor I can send cleaning commands to the printer and nozzle checks ....

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im desperate !
