Solvent recovery

I am a small printer going through about 100 gallons of blanket wash per year (not a big volume). I wanted to look into small solvent recovery systems instead of having my solvent picked up and hauled away.

Does anyone know of any manufacturers out there selling these systems. I have not found a lot on the web.

Why not switch to a wash that allows you to reduce the overall volume of wash consumed? There are low VOC washes that clean better than traditional solvents while using 50-80% less volume.

how good are those machines? considering that the cost of disposing of waste is zero, would this still be a good investment to save on wash?

If you are in the US, you may want to investigate whether a solvent distillation unit will require a permit in your area. The ATF people are sometimes very suspicious that you might use a device like this to evade the tax on beverage alcohol.......

With such a small amount - Line a Funnel with Filter Papers and pour the blanket wash through a few times,


changing the filter paper when needed. Not perfect but a cheap method !
