    Mach 6

No... I find that InFix - https://www.iceni.com/infix.htm - handles my color correction/matching needs. If you have basic feel for color mixing, Infix can adjust the CMYK color values in the entire file easily and quickly. Most importantly it allows you to open PDF files even if you do not have...

    Mach 6

Jennifer, I own 2 Mach 5's: a simplexing unit an a duplexing version, which gives me experience with 3 engines total. The Mach 5 was somewhat of a 'proof of concept' machine which introduced the Memjet technology to envelope printing. The result among users was a love/hate relationship. The...

    Mach 6

That would be me, I would assume. I have been a primary beta tester since February of this year having worked with two incremental incarnations of the new Mach 6. To all Mach 5 owners: Run, don't walk, to turn in your 5 and get a 6. Same ink and print head, but many major improvements in paper...

    Mach 5 Margin Problem

Ink ticking can be reduced significantly by flexing (bending) the lead-edge of the envelopes downward at about the 2" mark. Surface marking is more difficult to avert, but I have often used a wallpaper roller to flatten the envelopes. Flay smooth stock is really essential when using this printer.

    Mach 5 Margin Problem

This is pretty basic, but just want to make sure you are aware that the non-operator side paper guide is adjustable by about the 1/2" you are referencing. Also understand that the print head is just a tad wider than 8.5" so attempting a bleed as illustrated is doable, but prone to a sliver of...

    Oki 931e

What you are experiencing is common to this Oki model as well as it's previous incarnations, the 9600 and 9800. Unfortunately, there is no remedy. These printers were never designed for printing lengthy runs of envelopes, or any size under 8.5 x 11" for that matter. What is happening is that...

    Toner based envelope smearing concerns

One more thing... High density designs (color builds which rely on heavily layered CMYK percentages) are more prone to the issue.

    Toner based envelope smearing concerns

Always ask you customer what printer will be used for imprinting. 'Brother' brand laser printers are known for this issue - some models have extremely high-temperature fusers. Besides the high temperature fusers utilized in higher-end Oki's, these printers also use 'oil-less' toner which is...

    Neopst Mach 6

Our millage may vary... I've never paid less than $425. per head but I get 350-400M impressions on average. So that's a little over $1. per M - a minor cost. When printing corner-card in portrait mode I would suggest you use the 180 degrees rotate setting half the time to utilize infrequently...

    Neopst Mach 6

Lower consumable costs would be a plus, primarily when running heavy coverage jobs. I lose a lot of work because I (you) are forced to carefully calculate ink consumption and customers balk when an ink surcharge is tacked on. They don't understand why a job printed via offset or toner is not...

    Neopst Mach 6

Perhaps you are referencing Rena's (Neopost's) version of the Astro S1 - not sure what they will call it. Same engine as the Mach 5, but with a 10" throat (can print 10 x 13" envelopes) and a touch screen control panel. Beefed up feed wheels and a straighter path. Can handle up to 1/4". Will...

    Xante Impressia opinions

The media weight driver setting I use for most envelopes is Medium Light as well. Medium Heavy is required sometimes and Heavy for 9x12 and larger. Fuser life remaining can sometimes be an factor.

    Xante Impressia opinions

The Illumina (Oki)will pause to dissipate excess heat build-up if the envelope you are printing is small in surface area. While a #10 and wider will not cause an issue, you will notice it in smaller A and baronial sizes. No work-around for this.
