    Envelopes through Versant 80

No idea since this was a new box on a showroom floor and the sales guy had him come out. I do know the tech that he said came out and he is a great tech. I'll see what I find out Thursday.

    Envelopes through Versant 80

It's funny then, Xerox doesn't know how to set up their own box... they have had techs and specialists out for it and they still can't get it to not skew, and badly, on 3 different boxes. I'll bring it up with them this Thursday.... we shall see.

    Envelopes through Versant 80

I appreciate the info! I did a demo of the C700 and it ran great, everything I threw at it. the V80 I have had no luck on with multiple demos, skew is quite bad. I am going to look at it again after they get some info, and at a 2100 as well. We will see how it goes.

    Envelopes through Versant 80

That isn't the only reason we are looking at it, we already have 2 Canon 7010's for color, but we need something to do envelopes as well as smaller cut sheet that the 7010's can't run (and additional capacity for some times when volume is heavy). Anything else that I have looked at that is...

    Envelopes through Versant 80

Yeah, that is one situation I am trying to avoid, having my operators babysit. That part stinks.

    Envelopes through Versant 80

They didn't even have mine at one location, and Xerox tried their own... don't think it is the envelopes.

    Envelopes through Versant 80

I've been looking at a V80 for doing envelopes, however after demoing two units at different sales offices, they tried a 3rd location and still have an issue with skewing, pretty badly. They sent some to Rochester and got them to work (although they could not when I was there because the engine...

    Fuser Temps???

Xerox told me 400 degrees on the V80.

    Something for large envelopes? (4c)

I looked into that one a little, it looks remarkably like the Pitney Bowes DP40s we have. I wonder if they are the same box with newer and better internals? The dp40s has been nothing but headaches for us, if improved it might be a solution.

    Something for large envelopes? (4c)

We are looking into something that can print variable 4 color envelopes at least 9x12, and perhaps 10x13 (#10's as well). Seems you either have lower end inkjet/toner based systems (oki/xante/memjet) or offset. Any advice in this area where we can look?

    BRC glue?

Has anyone had any issues with rerunning a preprinted stock (from offset) with BRC glue on digital presses? We have not had any real issues until lately with one piece. Of course the manufacturer does not recommend it (Oce 6250 is the machine that we had the issue with, however we also have...

A couple weird issues with Acro 9 and PS 08v4?

ok, I've had it with CS4, it has crashed no less than 2 dozen times today, and I have rebooted no less than 8 times.... in 4 hours. I'm not even doing anything and it crashes. Acro has crashed 10 times in the past 20 minutes. This is ridiculous. goodbye CS4, and good riddance.

A couple weird issues with Acro 9 and PS 08v4?

Yes I have tweaked it, don't like it. This is the only program that does this for me :dunno: Of course. But I have several other bugs: Drawing guides makes the whole area I drug the guide to completely black Trying to select a couple files to open this morning, and 40 files out of nowhere...
