    I backed off on the buckle and it seemed to help a lot am going to put a new blanket on. Should a small press like this need packing under the blanket? I have ran ab dicks, ryobis, multi's etc. and never needed to pack the blanket.

    1. yes 2. did that 3. there was no scumming, the lead edge of the plate was clean, the image was close to the lead edge, i lowered the "plate" by putting the plate in the clamp instead on the pin bars and gained about 1/4 inch and that made no difference , both polyester and metal plates had the...

    Thanks for replying, i checked the blanket and it seemed tight, but i had taken the blanket off and there was some packing sorta bunched up at he lead edge, so i took the packing out and tried it again, a friend told me to check the buckle adjustment, well.... the toko 4750 (Multi 1218) doesn't...

    toko 4750, the press says it's a multilith 1218. will post pic soon, i'm thinking that the image may be too far up on the plate. i took the blanket off and there was some packing under it that was wrinkled, i took it out and then tried it. same problem. thanks

    Problem with image

    I was using a polyester plate and have a problem with the image the first half inch of the image is smeared. I had a metal plate made and the same problem.the lower part of the image prints fine. Wonder if I could lower the image and rid myself of this problem. Any thoughts?

    I am having problems with these poly plates, I can't seem to get them to work, I tried fusing them several times, I even tried fusing them before I imaged them which gave me a good image on the plate, but when I put the plate on the press (Toko 4750) there is a fuzzy shadow around the letters...
