I think your biggest issue is the tech yes the room its in might be effecting the machine due to its environment might want to keep a fan in there running all the time to circulate airflow BTR and fuser belt issues are regular things that go wrong with the machine and thats what you have both...

thats not a versant 80 I have a 3100 with 22 million impressions on it

how long have you had it?

if the machine is near by go check it out before you decide parts are not cheap and it could easily need a couple thousand in parts

the J75 is a better machine specially if you want to run cover stock and 2 sided but it seams like you really dont need a back up machine or need to add more headaches , I know the machine inside out and I try to stay away from them

when you stopped the paper halfway through the fuser was half the image non fused? I would stop the sheet just as it enters the fuser then remove the paper and pull the ibt drawer out and see if you can see the marks on the ibt belt you will have to turn the belt counter clockwise to see the image

can you run a normal full color print and post the photo also do you know how to pull the ibt drawer out? also is the mark like toner is scrapping or like an indentation ?

those lines are from the fuser are you sure you changed the fuser belt assembly why dont you stop the paper half way into the fuser and check to see if the portion in the fuser has the lines
