    WATER MARK Printing in OFFSET

Hi ponnapatil123 I've just spoke to the printer that did the last job and asked him, he said to run it like any normal ink, print a few and hang it on the window for 20 minutes to see what it looks like, take care not to over ink it as it can start to emulsify. Also paper stock is important as...

Ghost images on our print job

I didn't suggest the fuser is faulty, its just a side effect of running white out text from a heavy solid. What ever machine you are running there should be a paper setting to increase the gap between sheets its normally used to stop judder marks but it sorts this out on my machine as well.

Ghost images on our print job

Hi PrintingInLincs Are you running this on a laser?. I get this once and a while on my Ricoh. The tech explained it was because as the fuser melts the toner heat is taken away from the fuser roller but if you have a largish area of white out of a colour the fuser stays warmer in that area so...

    New Ricoh ProC9100 Operator

No worries. I was TCRU trained on the 901 but moving up to the 9110 was a big step with quite a steep learning curve, as the machine was still in beta, i was fortunate to have a couple of good engineers to help me out, in their view 119 is Ricoh trying to be a bit to clever. Have you had your...

    New Ricoh ProC9100 Operator

Hi tpmar You'll have to help me out here what is 80 paper. I work in metric do you know its weight as gsm. If it is very light stock you could try adjusting the amount of registration buckle. If you go in to the Adjustment for skilled operators, go to the paper feed and output in menu 0303 you...

    New Ricoh ProC9100 Operator

Hi Gents I'm a jaded operator of over 2 1/2 years and you will discover that the machine does a lot of strange things. As for image magnification I switch off Auto Adjust side 2 which is number 119 in the advaced paper settings. It can cause issues with paper straight out the pack as any slight...

    WATER MARK Printing in OFFSET

The offset department of the company I work for do a lot of watermark printing. They have just finished 200,000 sheets for Mercedes Benz. The ink is made by Luminescence product code 1715KFD, its printed on the back of the sheet in reverse. I remember being told by management that we have to...

    Ricoh 9110 Operators???????

I have had two years of pain and suffering on my 9110. It was one of the first batch of machines to come out and as such was still in Beta in everybody's mind except my managements. In that time quite a few parts have been upgraded as they don't last as long as they should, and there are still...

    Scratch-off printing.

I was in silk screen for over 20 years before moving to the "Dark (Digiital) Side" and printing scratch off silver used to give me nightmares, not because it is a hard process but you always have that fear that the ink isn't dry because when you rub it it comes off. As one of the poster above...

    My Ricoh 8120 is racest!

Strange. We have a 8100se and we have had no problems running coloured stock, from light yellow to dark blues and greens. Even running mixed media, books with white pages with coloured sections, and of various weights there have been no problems. I think you need to get a tech in to see if you...

Ricoh Pro C7100 textured printing problem

Hi Bloomfield I had my Ricoh tech in yesterday, Friday, and I mentioned this post to him as he has worked on the c71xx from new and he was quite surprised to here you were having issues on textured stock as he has had no complaints from his clients. How textured is the stock. He did say that on...

    Grayscale PDF not printing Grayscale

I had a similar issue with 3 files a customer sent. All three on screen showed a black only grey scale but one of them would print as a 4 colour grey. Pre press could not spot the issue, When I opened the file in Acrobat and the used pitstop to inspect it I found that the grey had a ICC profile...

    Anyone running a Ricoh 5110s

Hi digitalro Technically speaking duplexing 300 gsm is out of spech on the 5100 as it will only allow you to duplex up to 256gsm on the paper settings, but I have told it I was running 250 colotech when in fact i I was using 300gsm. Once you set up the backing up on the fiery it is supprisingly...

    Anyone running a Ricoh 5110s

We have had the slower 5100 for 16 months or so and I am very surprised at the quality of the work it produces, for the price and the amount of plastic it contains. We had a slight issue with the black dev unit a few months after getting it but that was sorted out swiftly, since then I have only...

theblusdude is spot on. New Install - Ricoh Pro C7110SX

the producer of foil strictly recommend Ricoh print We have already tried it with our 9110, which I think uses the same toner as the 71xx, you run jobs using a 4 colour black then run it through a machine that looks a bit like a encapsulator but with a role of special coloured film on it that...
