Just one clarification to what you wrote. Imaging Engine is not a replacement of AE (it is a replacement of FlexRip and the Nexus PDF Rip).

You mention that you are truncating the Job Description. It looks to me from the warning message that there is a space at the end of the path, which is not allowed in Windows, and that is the issue. It is generally not advised to use Job Descriptions as part of the folder name for the job...

You may want to look how close to the edge of the paper the verification strip is printing (compared to how close the alignment strip is printing). If it is too close to the edge of the paper, then it might not scan.
