Responsibilities:
Responsible for revenue generation through personal quota and team quota in an assigned geographic area. Has responsibility under General Manager for day-to-day supervision of small sales team and also administration staff.
• Maintain sales force in which all sales employees have the capacity to work and produce results at quota level or greater.
• Participate in candidate interviewing, and make effective/timely termination decisions within company guidelines.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of sales team, and proactively mentor/coach reps for continued development.
• Track all sales employees' daily activities, respond quickly and appropriately to all deviations in sales reps' activities/results.
• Responsible for conducting performance appraisals and any salary planning actions.
Selling Responsibilities:
• Travels through assigned territory to visit regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or makes cold calls via phone.
• Displays or demonstrates product and emphasizes salable features.
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with billing and deliveries.
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
Additional Responsibilities but not limited to:
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends.
• Establish & maintain industry contacts that lead to sales.
• Develop and deliver sales presentations.
• Participate in sales forecasting and planning, and meet established sales quotas and revenue goals.
• Produce regular reports for upper management.
• Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-4 years prior sales management experience, preferably within the office equipment industry
Proven history of successful quota attainment. Qualified candidates will be asked to provide documentation to support their success in sales
Demonstrated history of obtaining new business and retaining current customer base
Self motivation; driven by reward and recognition
PC hardware and software expertise
Polished appearance and demeanor
Valid driver's license
