Since installation in April of a new RMGT 9 Series five-color sheetfed, LED-UV press, 30 year veteran Northern California printer Copyworld, Inc. reports savings of $12,000 to $15,000 per month.
Copyworld had 3 Heidelberg Quickmaster DI presses–one DI had 150 million impressions on it–a record, according to Heidelberg. The Ryobi runs 24x36-inch sheets, and prints come off dry, with no tackiness. According to Copyworld, the new press will allow the 22 employees at the $4 million operation to add new types of customers beyond their typical short runs of data sheets, door hangers, flyers, postcards and business cards.
