What do we pay for Full Service Click Charges

Hi there, I'm looking at buying a colour and a black digital press, and have contacted the guys that sell the iGen, Indigo and Canon, but being relatively new to printing I don't want to get ripped off on the click charges.

Anyone want to throw some ideas out there as to what I should be paying for:

Full Colour per side
Black per side

or

4 colour per side
2 colour per side
black per side

Our current print volumes are about

50000 black 2 sided
90000 colour 2 sided

Don't take this the wrong way but you don't have near the volume to justify an IGen or an Indigo (The sales reps will say different). If I were you I would look at a dedicated Monochrome machine and a smaller Color machine. The black clicks on my color machine are .015 vs .003 on my monochrome that's better than 4 to 1.

We're based in UK and use a Xerox 5000.

Firstly there is no 2 Colour or 4 Colour Click - It's either black or colour!

We're paying 6p (stirling) for a Colour Click (A4 or A3) & 1p for Black.

I don't think your volumes are high enough to even consider an iGen3
