Xerox C60 Random Dots

Hi everyone,
We print a lot of full color certificates on 250g/m² SRA3 paper.
In December we first had problems with blue dots all over our prints on a Xerox 550. Nobody could fix the problem so we we decided to buy a new printer and fix the 550 as we needed a 2nd printer anyway.
Now we have a Xerox C60 and we have the exact same problem as in December. We get Blue/Black dots all over the paper.
I attached some pictures. The Technician changed everything. Developer unit, toner, image unit, color drums.. he said he doesn't know what else to change.
Any auggestions? It also looks like most of the times the dots have a white border around them. Maybe that's a hint?

I don't know much about the C60, or the 550, but, the fact that the exact same problem is occurring on two different printers would logically indicate that the problem is not the printer. To me, it would indicate that the problem is coming from an external source such as the art, or, those small blue dots may already be on the blank paper that you are using before you print it. It may also be some type of electro-static interference from something that is around, or, near your printer.

We get the same thing on our J75 and 7775. Look at the paper path right before the fuser, you'll see that there is some cyan toner hanging around that eventually gets into the paper path. Are you slamming the drum tray when you close it? That is usually the problem (but I get magenta every now and then, maybe every 250 sheets?).

MailGuru Unfortunately it's definitely not the paper. Also I doubt it's electro-static interference as we have the problem on 2 different printers in two seperated rooms..

PrintIT they move around and are completely random. Sometimes even on white space.

We don't have Xerox equipment, we use KM printers. I have seen this on KM machines periodically and the workaround for us is to increase the weight of the paper.

I had those issue with our 770. They are caused for different reasons:
• an old drum
• old developer housing
• toner dust accumulated underneath the bracket that holds the drums (usually a black plastic)

I hope you find the solution.

Unfortunately we are still fighting with the same problem.

Another "specialist" came to investigate it. Re-calibrated it and everything. Still the same dots on a lot of printouts.
We are already thinking about to buy another printer from another manufacturer. But I think the C60 should be good enough to print around 200 SRA3 full-color pages (photos) a day?

Sounds like it is time to tell them you want to exercise your like for like replacement / TSG clause.
