Anyone tried SmartPDFPrintWare or similar? Print Automation...

Hi all,

I came across a software package called "smartPDFprintware". This system claims to allow for automation such as:

- Take a hot folder of documents, auto print and insert tabs infront of each doc using filename as tab text.

I've been looking for this level of automation for a long time. But their website does not exactly fill me with confidence.

Just wondered if anyone could vouch for the company, or better still, suggest other software/means of achieving the above task.

Thanks all,

What type of workflow/RIP are you currently using? If you have a Fiery, you might consider EFI Fiery JobFlow. You can create virtually any PDF workflow you need. There are lots of commands pre-built in the software, but you can make custom ones with some basic scripting, and maybe combining with PitStop which you will already have if you purchased Impose/Compose or JobMaster. We have worked with EFI to make some pretty unique workflows for our customers. I haven’t done the exact one you’re describing, but I’m sure it can handle it.

Thanks Jwheeler. I'm currently using a KM c754e with IC-414 bustled controller. But we're looking to upgrade to one or more production level machines in the near future.

Jobflow website has the example of taking multiple docs and tabbing them, but I'm not entirely convinced this approach is going to be slick enough..

KM's AccurioProCompile appears to do it in a slicker manner...
